Here are some upcoming trips and programs from CMDA National: Global Health Outreach (GHO) – There have been 47 teams this calendar year that went out with eight specialty teams including Dermatology, Orthopedic Surgery, Ophthalmology, OB/Gyn, General Surgery, ENT and Maxillofacial Surgery. The GHO staff and their Advisory Council met this month to do strategic planning for the next five years. The new team to Nepal had great success and is planning two trips there next year. There are 50 teams on the calendar for next year with greater than 20% to the 10/40 Window. Unfortunately, we are noticing a drop off in applications to the Eastern Hemisphere due to the economy and increased air and ground costs.
