Student Fellowship Opportunities

CMDA of WNY has proved to be a valuable resource for students looking to find fellowship and support. What usually begins as a Student Bible Study, will often turn into a close-knit group of friends. Student groups that formed within CMDA have been there for each other in prayer before exams, in support for each other during hard times, and also just for fun.

As the student population in CMDA of WNY gets bigger, we are looking to take a more active role in the organization and the community. The current students in CMDA have met and begun making plans for how to do this. Some of our plans include the following:
  • increased integration between medical, dental, nursing and other healthcare students for more fellowship opporunities as well as increased networking
  • more service opportunities--both medical and non-medical--we would like to increase CMDA student involvement in our affiliated clinics at Cornerstone and Good Neighbors, and also do an occasional non-medical service project, like volunteering at the City Mission or a soup kitchen
  • a small or large scale trip in or out of Buffalo around Spring Break, and hopefully participation in yearly conferences like the GMHC one in KY
There is something for everyone; whether you want to get involved just a little or a lot, you'll be glad you did. Contact Phil Wade at CMDAWNY@gmail.com for more information! There is email mailing list specifically for students--let us know if you would like to be added to that.

.

All of the Bible studies are non-denominational groups and anyone is welcome. These studies provide a great time for studying the Word together, as well as fellowship with other believers. No preparation in advance is necessary. For more information about any of these, please contact Phil Wade CMDAWNY@gmail.com.

Monthly Dinner Meetings

Topics involving faith & health are presented & discussed. All meetings are held in Western New York, unless otherwise specified. Anyone, regardless of faith or beliefs, is welcome to attend. Note that meetings generally fall on the second Saturday of the month.

If you would like to be informed of any changes in this schedule, please make sure to submit your email address to CMDAWNY@gmail.com

If you have any ideas of other topics you would like to see presented or a topic that you would like to present yourself, please let us know at CMDAWNY@gmail.com.

These include physicians of many specialties, dentists, nurses, clergy members, psychologists, and other health professionals, as well as their family members. Many of these individuals have expressed interest in mentoring to students. For information about how to find a mentor or how to become a mentor, please contact us at CMDAWNY@gmail.com
